On October 1, DMCS celebrated its second anniversary serving the people of Maine.

In 2013, Attorneys Tom Douglas, Sarah McDaniel, Ben Campo and Anne Schools left private practices and large firms to create Douglas McDaniel Campo & Schools. The firm, situated in the Dana Warp Mill overlooking the Presumpscot River, was created with the idea that individual talents could benefit a collective energy that achieves the greatest results for clients.

The firm has seen some note-worthy personal injury law and land use law cases since its inception, including:

  • Friends of Congress Square Park vs. the City of Portland, which affirmed the citizen’s group right to hold a public referendum over the fate of the public space.
  • Profenno vs. Petco Animal Supplies and Fish Mart, Inc., which resulted in a personal injury settlement to Mr. Profenno after a rat purchased at the South Portland Petco infected the client with rat-bite fever.
  • A landmark ruling from the Maine Supreme Judicial Court that held a National Fraternity owes a duty to guests at its Collegiate Chapters’ Fraternity Houses. The case was described as having national repercussions.

Every attorney celebrates each success at Douglas McDaniel Campo & Schools and treats every case with same sincerity and sense of purpose. The dynamic skillset of each attorney ensures that every client receives the best possible representation. Douglas McDaniel Campo and Schools serves a wide variety of clients with a diverse set of needs, including business law, civil litigation, family law, OUI law, bankruptcy law, divorce law, immigration law and appeals in federal and state courts.
